Annie's Worries
Annie beats Anxiety
Annie was an 8-year-old girl who often felt worried. She worried about school, friends, and even the weather. One day, she felt so anxious that she couldn't enjoy her favorite game. Her mom noticed and asked, 'What's wrong, Annie?' Annie replied, 'I just feel scared inside.' Her mom gave her a big hug. 'Let's find a way to help you feel better,' she said.

Annie's mom took out a special book. It was the Bible. 'This book has helped many people feel better,' her mom said. Annie was curious. 'Can it help me too?' she asked. 'Yes, it can,' her mom replied. 'Let's read some verses together.' Annie felt a little hopeful.

'Here is a verse from Philippians 4:6,' her mom said. 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.' Annie listened carefully. 'What does it mean?' she asked. 'It means you can tell God about your worries,' her mom explained. Annie decided to try it. She closed her eyes and said a little prayer. She felt a tiny bit better.

That night, Annie knelt by her bed. 'Dear God, I'm scared and worried,' she prayed. 'Please help me feel better.' After her prayer, she felt a warm feeling inside. The next day, she told her mom, 'I prayed last night.' 'I'm proud of you,' her mom said. Annie felt a little braver.

At school, Annie met a new girl named Lucy. Lucy looked nervous too. Annie remembered her prayer and decided to be kind. 'Hi, I'm Annie,' she said with a smile. Lucy smiled back and said, 'Hi, I'm Lucy.' They played together at recess. Annie felt happy to have a new friend.

Annie wanted to help Lucy feel better too. 'Do you want to hear a special verse?' she asked. Lucy nodded. Annie shared Philippians 4:6 with her. 'That makes me feel better,' Lucy said. 'Can we pray together?' Annie asked. They both closed their eyes and prayed. They felt a sense of peace.

One day, Annie had to speak in front of the class. She felt very nervous. She remembered the Bible verse and her prayers. 'I can do this,' she told herself. She took a deep breath and spoke confidently. After her speech, everyone clapped. Annie felt proud and realized she could face her fears.

Annie noticed other kids at school who seemed worried. She decided to share her special verse with them. 'This verse helps me feel better,' she said. The other kids listened and felt comforted. Annie felt happy to help others. She knew she was making a difference. Her teacher even noticed and praised her kindness.

Annie started a journal to write down her prayers and Bible verses. 'This will help me remember,' she thought. She wrote about her worries and how she felt after praying. It became her special book of comfort. Whenever she felt anxious, she read her journal. It made her feel strong and brave.

Annie's family started reading the Bible together every night. They took turns sharing their favorite verses. Annie loved this special time. It made her feel close to her family and to God. Her little brother even started joining in. They all felt happier and more connected. Annie's worries seemed smaller and smaller.

Annie had a big test coming up. She felt a little anxious but remembered her prayers. 'I can do this with God's help,' she thought. She studied hard and prayed every night. On the day of the test, she felt calm and ready. She did her best and felt proud of her effort. Her mom gave her a big hug when she got home.
