Emma a sweet six year old girl, with blonde medium length hair, brown eyes, and is never seen without her purple headband. She is so excited to see the local unicorn festival this weekend. Mimi and PopPop ale ready promised to take her to see the unicorn races and maybe if she’s extra good she might even meet a unicorn that would let them ride them! The adult unicorns are beautiful but haughty. They won’t let Emma touch them even if she’s says pretty please with a Cherry on top. Emma eventually meets a little unicorn with a small horn that is often bullied by the much bigger equines and hides in the shadows. With a pep talk the two decide to become racing partners! They do pretty well in the junior leagues but when a bigger unicorn brother wants to make Emma drop out of the race to let their siblings win, the smallest unicorn “Uno” steps into show what really matters isn’t the size of a unicorns’ horn but their heart. Uno’s small horn glows golden and smacks the bigger unicorn away. The magical flow attracts the adults and soon the big brother unicorn has to bow and apologize. Emma and Uno run in the junior finals but they don’t win. However Uno promises they can always try again next year. Uno and Emma hug on the last page of the story.

Ralphie and baxter are cartoon bunnies with baxter being the younger, curious and playful bunny and ralphie being the older wiser, more serious bunny. Ralphie tries to teach Baxter different things that reading children can learn from also. Baxter usually will do something to get in trouble and then Ralphie will get mad and Baxter has to figure the right way to do it, show Ralphie what he learned and end with a happy ending. Harvey is introduced to new philosopher by Mr. Smith. His name is Friedrich Nietzsche and he was one of the most influential German classical scholar of the 18th century. Mr. Smith told Harvey that Nietzsche was the youngest person as chair of Classical Philology at the University of Basel in Switzerland in 1869, at the age of 24. Harvey was so impressed and amazed. Mr. Smith continues to explain Friedrich Nietzsche's main philosophical concept which is based on two figures in ancient Greek mythology Apollo and Dionysus. Mr. Smith also said that Nietzsche found in classical Athenian tragedy an art form that transcended the pessimism found in the so-called wisdom of Silenus. The Greek spectators, by looking into the abyss of human suffering depicted by characters on stage, passionately and joyously affirmed life, finding it worth living. The main theme in The Birth of Tragedy is that the fusion of Dionysian and Apollonian Kunsttriebe ("artistic impulses") forms dramatic arts or tragedies. He argued that this fusion has not been achieved since the ancient Greek tragedians. Apollo represents harmony, progress, clarity, logic and the principle of individuation, whereas Dionysus represents disorder, intoxication, emotion, ecstasy and unity (hence the omission of the principle of individuation). Nietzsche used these two forces because, for him, the world of mind and order on one side, and passion and chaos on the other, formed principles that were fundamental to the Greek culture: the Apollonian a dreaming state, full of illusions; and Dionysian a state of intoxication, representing the liberations of instinct and dissolution of boundaries. In this mould, a man appears as the satyr. Harvey felt so empowered and understood what Nietzsche meant; life is full of suffering and chaos and hard work and that's where we should find enjoyment and happiness by valuing what is most worth to us.
