A scrawny tree in the woods is not chosen by families for their house. It is sad it's not chosen. It waits patiently as the sun and rain nourish it. It grows and grows. Finally, it is chosen for Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Page 9: Jesus then miraculously fed over four thousand people with just a few loaves and fish. "How can he feed so many with so little?" Osh gasped, his mouth wide open in amazement. Page 10: "It's a reminder that God can do anything, even the impossible," XL said, her voice full of wonder. Page 11: On their way back, they discussed how important it is to have faith and show kindness to everyone. "It's not enough to just follow rules," Osh said, recalling the Pharisees. Page 12: Back home, Osh and Ish tried to be more compassionate and understanding, realizing it's what's in our hearts that truly matters.

This book is about a family of four, a mom, a dad and a girl that is 9 and a boy that is 7. The story starts with the dad asking the kids if they remember the day that he got hurt at work. He is sitting on the couch and the children are sitting next to him. He then explains that he was hurt and ended up with a traumatic brain injury which is just a fancy way of saying his brain got hurt and needed time to heal again. First, the sunlight powered him up, like a battery. Then, his roots slurped up water from the ground. Sluuuurp! Finally, Mr. Tree pulled in the “bad air,” and mixed it in his leaves. By doing this he made yummy sugar to eat! That’s how Mr. Tree grew taller and taller and taller. But Mr. Tree wasn’t just making food for himself—he was also giving back to the world. As he grew, he would recycle the air, sending out clean air for everyone to breathe. “Here you go!” People, animals, and plants all needed Mr. Tree’s hard work to stay happy and healthy. But one day, Mr. Tree noticed something was wrong. People were burning things like gas to power their cars, factories, and machines, and it was leaking tons and tons of bad air! “Uh-oh, this is a big problem!” Too much bad air traps the Earth, similar to a heated blanket. This makes the planet hotter, called climate change, which is not good for anyone—people, animals, or plants like Mr. Tree. From then on, whenever people walked by, they’d smile and say, “Thank you, Mr. Tree!” And Mr. Tree would smile back, knowing everyone was learning how important trees are. So remember, kids: take care of trees, because they help us breathe and keep the Earth happy and healthy!

Despite their differences, they were the best of friends, spending their days playing and searching for food together. One day, the monkey came up with an idea and said excitedly: "My dear donkey, let's go to the farm at the edge of the forest! It’s full of delicious fruits. This is our chance!" The donkey hesitated and replied: "But that farm belongs to humans. It might be dangerous." The monkey laughed and jumped around. "Don’t worry, my friend! I’m fast, and you’re strong. They won’t catch us!" The donkey, trusting his friend, agreed. They sneaked into the farm, and the monkey quickly climbed the trees, picking bananas and apples, tossing them down to the donkey, who happily ate. Suddenly, they heard the farmer shouting: "Who’s stealing my fruits?!" The monkey instantly jumped up and disappeared into the trees. But the donkey, unable to move quickly, froze in place. The farmer rushed over, caught him, and tied him in the barn as punishment. Meanwhile, the monkey escaped back to the forest alone. Hours passed, and guilt filled the monkey’s heart. He couldn't leave his friend behind. That night, he sneaked back into the farm, carefully opened the barn door, and whispered: "Donkey, let’s get out of here!" The donkey hurried outside, but before leaving, he stopped and said: "You knew this was dangerous, yet you convinced me to do it. A true friend doesn’t leave his friend behind in trouble." The monkey felt ashamed and apologized sincerely. He had learned a valuable lesson about friendship and loyalty. From that day on, he became wiser and never put his friend in danger again.
