Kala's grandfather was on the television show person of interest. Kala completed her basic and advanced obedience training from 6 months to 15 months old. Kala completed tasks specific training for her Army Veteran Tim who has PTSD. Kala completed her specific task training around 2 years old. Kala completed her specific task training through Custom Canines Service Dog Academy. Kala passed both the K9 good citizen and public access test. Kala wears a vest that is visible to people so they know she is a service dog. Kala lives in Wisconsin. Kala loves to play frisbee and swim during her downtime or taking a break. Kala loves children but when she is working she has a vest that says do not pet. Kala goes everywhere with Tim even to Disney World. Kala has traveled on planes many times. Kala sometimes has to wear shoes is the ground is to cold or to hot. The same for wearing a jacket if the weather is rainy or frigid. Kala helps Tim everyday with his PTSD with specific ticks Tim has. The Belgian malinois is one of the smartest breeds. Belgian Malinois want to work all the time. Belgian malinois are agile and fast. Our Kindergarten class is learning how to deal with big emotions. When they are feeling overwhelmed by big emotions they should tell an adult they need a break, how we can help them or what is making them feel that way. We want to help them understand their feeling so that they will be able to learn to self-regulate. We encourage deep breathing, breaks, walks, alone time and telling adults how they feel.

1. John Jr and Vasi saw a show about gardening. It really sparked their interest. John Jr asked his mom if he and Vasi could plant a garden in backyard. She agreed and found a how to book on gardening for John Jr and Vasi. 2. John Jr got some of his allowance money and he and Vasi took off to the store. At the store John Jr and Vasi purchased cucumber, pepper, cantaloupe, radish and lettuce seeds. 3. John Jr and Vasi had to prep the ground for their garden. They had to till the soil to a depth of about 10 inches,add fertilizer to enrich the soil, Level the garden bed, and Water the soil well and let it settle for a few days. 4. A few days passed and John Jr and Vasi were ready to plant. They poked holes for the seeds, then placed seeds and covered dirt over seeds. After planting , they gave a nice watering to their garden. 5. John Jr and Vasi looked after and watered their garden daily. A few weeks went by and there was some buds sprouting. A few more weeks later there was fruit and vegetables starting to form. 6.. As summer was closing in, the fruit and veggies were ripe and in abundance.
