Daisy Bates is a young woman who dedicated her newspaper to the civil rights movement. After learning segregated schools are unconstitutional, she used her newspaper to expose schools violating the law. She helped her local school integrate by giving students advise and driving them around. Unfortunately violence and threats made her shut down her news paper. However she continued to work on integrating schools, and even publish a memoir on the Little Rock 9. She became to the only woman to speak at the March On Washington.

Once upon a time, two friends named Alex and Poppy were playing on a sunny beach. They built massive sandcastles and splashed in the warm waves, laughing and having fun. Suddenly, the sky began to darken. The sun hid behind thick clouds, and a strange hush fell over the beach. The seagulls who were as loud as exploding fireworks, suddenly went quiet and flew away in the opposite direction of the ocean. "What’s happening?" asked Poppy, looking nervously at Alex. The sea witch smiled wickedly. “You will help me find my lost crown, or you must stay here forever!” The sea witch became distracted by a family of lost turtles, trying to enter her underwater cave. Alex looked at Poppy, his heart racing. “We need to get out of here!” With a nod of agreement, they started to tip-toe behind the mountains of treasure in the sea witch’s cave. Suddenly, they spotted a golden starfish that shimmered brightly—it looked magical! “Let’s grab it!” shouted Poppy, reaching out. As they grasped the starfish together, a brilliant light filled the cave! With a bright flash, the starfish granted them one wish. The friends looked at each other, grinned, and shouted together, “Take us back home!” In an instant, they found themselves back on the sandy beach, the sun shining down once more. They cheered and hugged each other. “Where have you been?” Alex’s mum asked. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you!” Alex laughed.

There was once a loving mule. This mule loved to dance around his mama and eat all the green grass it could see. no matter how tired it got it always knew that his mom loved him. The mule was going around and much bigger now. He loved to play and to spend time around his loving mother. However, it was getting colder and colder and the grass was no longer green and there was not a lot of food around. The mule cried and was so very hungry and thought "how can I show this man what is love?" The man took the mule into town and piled a bunch of food in front of him to eat. there was another man there though. This man was holding a single piece of bread. At first the mule was confused with the choice. But something in that bread felt like his mothers love from a long long time ago. He was so shocked thinking how could this be? that he knelt in front of this bread he knew was the source of all love. Hoping this would show the mean man that love requires all of us to sacrifice sometimes. The man was so shocked that he knelt down in front of the bread too and he yelled with tears and joy that this must be God. For surely God must be love

Next scene children are still walking along path hand in hand but have different scenery/ background now like they have made way down the path. One of the children is bending down to pick up a coin found in the path while both children have expressions of excitement for what they found and the angel baby appears to be watching with anticipation. Place a cardinal, a feather and blue butterfly, a dragonfly, things that people associate with messages from heaven, in the photo somewhere. It is now dusk and almost completely dark. Next scene. It is now completely dark and the sky is full of stars. Children have come to an opening from the forest

One sunny morning, as Leo was practicing his pouncing skills on a pile of leaves, he heard a cheerful chirping above him. Looking up, he spotted a tiny sparrow perched on a branch. The sparrow had feathers as brown as the earth and eyes that sparkled with mischief. "Hello down there!" chirped the sparrow. "I'm Sparky. What are you doing?" Leo grinned up at the sparrow. "Hi, I'm Leo! I'm practicing my pouncing. Do you want to play?" Sparky flapped his wings excitedly. "I'd love to! I can show you how to fly—well, sort of. You can try jumping really high!" And so, an unlikely friendship began between the lion cub and the sparrow. Chapter 2: The Great Race One afternoon, Leo and Sparky decided to have a race across the Savanna. Sparky flitted from tree to tree, while Leo bounded through the tall grass. "Catch me if you can, Leo!" Sparky teased, darting ahead. Leo laughed, his paws thudding against the ground. "I'm coming, Sparky! Just you wait!" As they raced, they encountered a deep stream blocking their path. Sparky easily flew across, but Leo stopped, unsure how to proceed. "You can do it, Leo! Just take a big leap!" Sparky encouraged from the other side. Leo took a few steps back, gathered all his courage, and with a mighty leap, he soared over the stream, landing safely on the other side. "See? You can fly too, in your own way!" Sparky cheered.

2nd Grade Version To understand why the American Revolution happened, we need to look back at the years from 1754 to 1763. During this time, the British and the French were fighting in a war on land that is now part of the United States. This war is called the French and Indian War. The British wanted to control more land, and the French wanted to keep their land. Many Native Americans chose to help either the British or the French during this war. In 1759, British soldiers went to a city called Québec in Canada and won a big battle there. They took over another city called Montréal the next year. After that, there weren't many big battles left between the British and the French in North America. The fighting mostly stopped by 1763 when a peace agreement called the Treaty of Paris was signed. Why did the British start taxing the colonists, and why did this make them mad? The British government made laws and taxes that affected the colonists. Many colonists felt proud to be British, but they believed they had rights that the king should protect. They didn't like the Stamp Act, which was a new tax. In Virginia, some leaders, called the House of Burgesses, said that the British Parliament shouldn’t be taxing them. In 1765, the prime minister of Britain was George Grenville. He created the Stamp Act because he needed money to pay for British soldiers in North America. He thought the colonists should help pay for these soldiers who were protecting them. At first, the British leaders were surprised by how upset the colonists were. Grenville did not listen to their complaints and was eventually replaced in 1766. A leader named George Washington fought in the French and Indian War along with the British. He helped lead soldiers against the French. He became a well-known leader and was even elected to help make laws in Virginia.

In no time Nyra with her family attacked the thief . Thief thought it was the biggest mistake to his life to enter this house. He ran off from that house.
